Early voting in the Nov. 3 midterm election has begun at five sites around McLennan County.

Registered voters can cast a ballot at any of the vote centers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday this week or 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Early voting runs each day through Oct. 30.

Turnout is expected to be high this year because of high-profile races at the top of the ballot for U.S. Senate and Texas governor.

McLennan County residents will also decide state representative races and elect a new state senator. Notable county-level races include the rematch between Precinct 2 County Commissioner D.L. Wilson and Jeremy Davis.

The Waco Bridge offers a free online guide that allows McLennan County voters to build a ballot based on their address and see information and coverage about candidates.
